Stanley E. Freimuth
Chairman, President & CEO
Stanley E. Freimuth was appointed Chairman, President & CEO of Presstek in February of 2012. He has been an active member of the Presstek Board of Directors since 2009. Prior to joining Presstek, Mr. Freimuth spent nearly 25 years with Fujifilm, where he ran the company’s U.S. graphic systems business for 17 years. He then went on to serve in several key executive roles at Fujifilm, including Chief Operating Officer, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, where he had responsibility for all of the Fujifilm businesses in the U.S. In these roles, he was instrumental in leading the company's successful strategy to transition from an analog to a digital business model.
Mr. Freimuth currently serves on the Advisory Board for New York University's M.A. program for Graphic Communications Management and Technology and on the Advisory Board for the Smithsonian National Zoological Park. He has also served as Chairman of the Board for the Association for Suppliers of Printing, Publishing and Converting Technologies (NPES) and as Chairman of the Graphic Arts Show Company (GASC). He is a recipient of both the Franklin Award from the Association of Graphic Communications and the Harold W. Gegenheimer Award from NPES.
Mr. Freimuth received his undergraduate degree from The University of Edinburgh and an MBA from American University.
Arnon Dror
Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer
Arnon Dror was appointed to the role of Presstek’s Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer in February 2012. In this role, Mr. Dror oversees all of the company’s financial and investor relations functions.
Prior to joining Presstek Mr. Dror held several key executive positions at the Eastman Kodak Company, including Director of Worldwide Channel Management; Director of Worldwide Operations, Consumer and Graphic Communications Groups; and Vice President of Global Services and Operations for the Graphic Communications Group. Prior to its acquisition by Eastman Kodak, he was Corporate Vice President of Finance for Creo, Inc.
Mr. Dror is a graduate of The Hebrew University of Jerusalem with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business Administration, a Master of Arts in Microeconomics, and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance.
Ronald T. Cardone
Vice President, Worldwide Service and CIO
Ronald Cardone was appointed Vice President of Worldwide Service in September 2009. He is responsible for providing Presstek’s customers with the industry’s best service and support. Mr. Cardone is responsible for all areas of service, including installation, training, technical support, and application support through Presstek’s global network of direct service technicians and dealer partners. Mr. Cardone joined the Presstek Leadership Team in December 2005 as the Chief Information Officer.
Mr. Cardone has 28 years of experience in Information Technology, Customer Service and Program Management across a broad base of industries ranging from semiconductor manufacturing to consumer products. Prior to joining Presstek, Mr. Cardone served as Senior Vice President of IT for The First Years, Vice President of IT for Dorel Industries (Juvenile Products Division), and Vice President of IT for Safety 1st Inc. He has also held several high level positions at Timberland, Compaq, and Wang Laboratories.
He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts.
Cathleen V. Cavanna
Vice President, Corporate Human Resources
Cathleen V. Cavanna has been Presstek’s Vice President, Corporate Human Resources since January 2005. As such, Ms. Cavanna is responsible for coordinating all human resource activities within the corporation, including strengthening the link between internal operations and external performance, and influencing and fulfilling business strategy through a fully-aligned and integrated approach. Ms. Cavanna joined Presstek in March 1996 as the Manager of Human Resources.
Prior to joining Presstek, Ms. Cavanna held human resources management positions in high-tech companies including Electronic Data Systems, Genicom and The A. B. Dick Company.
Ms. Cavanna holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Southern New Hampshire University, and is active in the Compensation and Benefit Survey Group, the Southern New Hampshire Human Resources Society, and is certified in Personnel Law.
Joseph Demharter
Vice President of Sales
Joseph Demharter joined Presstek in August, 2010 as Vice President of Sales. Mr. Demharter, with over 35 years of industry experience, is responsible for Presstek’s overall sales activity in the United States and Canada and for providing leadership toward achieving the company’s strategic goals. Mr. Demharter joined Pitman Company in 1992, he served as President for eight years and also held the positions of Vice President Digital Imaging, Electronic Imaging Manager and Northeast Region Sales Manager. His prior industry experience history includes 22 years with DuPont Printing and Publishing in sales and sales management.
Mr. Demharter is a graduate of West Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science degree in Printing Management.
Hakan Elmali Ph.D.
Vice President of Engineering and Research
Hakan Elmali, Ph.D. was appointed Vice President of Engineering and Research in March 2007. As such, he is responsible for technology strategy development, core research, and product management and development.
Prior to joining Presstek, Dr. Elmali served as Vice President of Engineering at ADE Corporation in Westwood, MA. Previously, he was Director of Engineering at Brooks Automation. He has over 20 years of research and product development experience and brings to Presstek a proven track record of managing engineering projects from concept to production.
Dr. Elmali has a doctorate and a master’s of science in mechanical engineering from the University of Connecticut. He received his bachelor’s degree – also in mechanical engineering – from Bogazici University in Istanbul, Turkey.
Geoff Loftus
Vice President, Operations and Corporate Quality Officer
Geoff Loftus was appointed Vice President of Manufacturing Operations in September 2009. Mr. Loftus is responsible for the manufacturing of all product lines within Presstek. As Corporate Quality Officer, he is also responsible for developing policies and programs to ensure that all products perform to specification. Mr. Loftus became Presstek’s Vice President of Service in November 2006, previously he was General Manager of the DI press business.
Mr. Loftus has nearly 20 years of experience in the graphic arts industry. Prior to joining Presstek, he held key management, service, and engineering positions at Heidelberg in both in the United States and Germany.
Mr. Loftus holds an MBA from New Hampshire College, a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Vermont, and a Certificate in Logistics Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He has two patents to his credit as an inventor.
Guy Sasson
President, Europe, Africa, and Middle East Region
Guy Sasson was appointed President of Presstek’s Europe, Africa, and Middle East (“EAME”) Region in January 2009. Mr. Sasson’s background includes a decade of key international roles at Kodak’s Graphics Communications Group (“KGCG”) and Kodak Polychrome Graphics (KPG), a joint venture between the Eastman Kodak and Sun Chemical companies. In his most recent assignment Mr. Sasson served as Vice President of Service and Support of KGCG’s Europe, Middle East and Africa region. Prior assignments included Director of Operations of KGCG’s Europe, Middle East and Africa region, as well as five years as General Manager of KPG/KGCG France. Prior to joining KPG, Mr. Sasson was employed in management capacities with Pechiney, The Boston Consulting Group and Royal Dutch Shell, plcc.
Mr. Sasson completed his undergraduate work at Lycee Louis Le Grand, Paris, and received Master of Science degrees from the Ecole des Mines de Paris and from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Mr. Sasson also earned an MBA from INSEAD University.
James R. Van Horn
Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary
James R. Van Horn was appointed Vice President and General Counsel in October 2007. In this role, he is responsible for all legal matters and advises the executive team on legal issues and ongoing business development opportunities.
Van Horn brings a 16-year background as general counsel with public companies to Presstek and joins the company from Sun-Times Media Group, Inc., where he was vice president, general counsel and secretary. He has also served as chief administrative officer, general counsel and secretary for NUI Corporation and senior vice president, general counsel and secretary for Citizens First Bancorp, Inc.
Van Horn received his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University and his B.A. from the College of Wooster.
